Qatar Airways Reports Record Revenues

Qatar Airways Group reported record revenues for fiscal year 2022/23.

It earned a net airline profit of QAR 4.4 billion ($1.21 billion) with revenue of $21 billion, up 45% compared to last year.

It cited the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as a catalyst for the strong airline profit.

Passenger revenue increased by 100%, on a capacity increase of 31% with 80% load factor.

Qatar Airways carried 31.7 million passengers.

Privilege Club loyalty programme expanded with new global and local partnerships, which boosted loyalty revenues.

Privilege Club members now have the ability to use the Avios currency for payment in Qatar Duty Free, Discover Qatar, and Qatar Holidays.

As the national carrier, it flew 1.4 million fans to and from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Qatar Airways’ network grew to more than 160 destinations in 2022/23.

It resumed operations to thirteen destinations including Amritsar, India; Beijing, China; Denpasar, Indonesia; and Geneva, Switzerland.
