Premier Inn to Ease Match Day Pressure for Travelling Fans with New 229-Bedroom Hotel in Manchester

Good news for Irish football fans with a Mancunian preference…Premier Inn is set to build a 229-bedroom hotel in Manchester next year, further easing the pressure on travelling fans to find a room ahead of match day.

Full planning permission has already been granted for the site, close to Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Construction is set to begin this summer, ahead of opening next year.

Paul Smith, property acquisition manager for Whitbread, was quoted as saying: “Whitbread is a long-standing investor in Manchester with six popular Premier Inn hotels across the city centre and many more across the city region.  In line with our perfect portfolio investment strategy, we are in the process of reconfiguring our network of hotels across central Manchester to ensure we have the right number of bedrooms in the right parts of the city centre for our guests.”
