Budget hotel chain Premier Inn has recorded a 3% increase in RevPAR (revenue per available room) in its UK and Ireland division in the third quarter of its latest financial year.
Premier Inn – which operates in the UK, Ireland and Germany – is part of the wider Whitbread UK hospitality conglomerate, whose financial year runs to the end of February.
Total group sales for Whitbread – which also owns a number of family eatery chains in the UK – rose 2%, in the third quarter, to £781m. This was largely driven by strong bookings within the Premier Inn division.
In Germany, Premier Inn’s newest market, RevPAR, for the quarter, was up 7%.

Comment on the latest trading update Dominic Paul, Whitbread Chief Executive, said: “We delivered a strong performance in the third quarter, with positive momentum across the business. We remain highly disciplined regarding our strategic actions and by focusing on what we can control, we have continued to make great progress against our key initiatives and will deliver a higher level of efficiencies in FY26 than previously expected.”
