Los Angeles, the city of entertainment, lived up to its reputation as 5,500 delegates attended this year’s International Pow Wow. They were wooed, dined and wined in true LA fashion, culminating in a special final event headlined by ‘Earth Wind and Fire’, who had their audience on their feet, with ovation after ovation as the group lived up to their musical reputation.
It was a fitting conclusion to what was a very upbeat Pow Wow with Brand USA launched at the event and many millions of dollar contracts signed with buyers from all over the world. The United States is certainly seeking to increase the number of international visitors to its shores.
Beverleigh Fly, the new Chair of the Visit USA Committee in Ireland, said: “From the moment we arrived in LA we had star treatment waiting for us. Express lines through Immigration, transport on arrival, and fantastic night-time events that showcased LA at its best.
“Visit USA Committees from around the globe were lucky enough to be one of the first to see the eagerly awaited Brand USA marketing initiative, which was revealed in the form of a song written by Rosanne Cash. The Brand USA song and video are quite engaging.
“Overall the mood on the floor was very positive and Visit USA managed to increase its new membership considerably. Rosanne Cash has written a fantastic memorable anthem and TIA once again hosted a fantastic memorable Pow Wow!”
Las Vegas will be the host city for International Pow Wow 2013.
