P&O Cruises Treating Passengers and Assessing Ship Following ‘Weather-Related Incident’ in Mallorca

P&O Cruises has confirmed that its onboard medical team is treating passengers after its Britannia ship was involved in a “weather-related incident” in port in Palma, Mallorca.

The ship, reportedly, broke its moorings in port – due to a severe storm – and collided with a freight vessel.

P&O said minor injuries were sustained by “a small number of people”, who are now being treated.

The cruise company added that it will treat passengers to onboard entertainment while it assesses the ship overnight tonight for potential damage.
