Oregon Tourism teamed up with “Pink Martini” at their successful concert in Dublin’s National Concert Hall to promote the beautiful state of Oregon to the Irish public.
The Oregon delegation comprised Petra Hackworth and Lisa Chamberlain, both from Oregon Tourism, together with Karen Viehoever, Travel Portland; Meg Trendler, Travel Lane County; and Lorna Davis from The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, who made a guest appearance on stage during the evening.
Oregon is located in the north-west of the United States and is renowned for its scenic beauty, outstanding wines, and year-round skiing. Portland, Oregon is 166 miles (268km) from Seattle’s SeaTac Airport.
Pink Martini are based in Portland, hence the tie up for the Oregon promotion. Their leader and pianist is Thomas Lauderdale, who said: “If the United Nations had a house band , then hopefully we’d be that band.”
After all as they say in Oregon , we love dreamers.
