Pegasus Airlines CEO Güliz Öztürk Wins ‘Aviation Week’ Leadership Award

Güliz Öztürk, chief executive of Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines, has received the 2024 Aviation Week Laureate Award for Leadership in the Commercial Aviation category

The award was presented at a black-tie gala at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. on 14 March.

Highlighting Pegasus Airlines’ successful post-pandemic recovery, strong financial results and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion under Güliz Öztürk’s leadership, Aviation Week Network stated: “Güliz Öztürk has led the remarkable comeback of Pegasus Airlines as CEO since 2022. Pegasus is one of the most profitable airlines globally, following a highly successful low-cost carrier model mainly from its biggest base at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen airport. Öztürk has not only delivered strong financial results but is also a keen supporter of gender equality and diversity.”
