Paul Fitzpatrick of Trailfinders Cork is our Wild Card winner in the ITTN+EMIRATES Travel Photographer of the Year competition with his photo entitled: Business Class Cuban Style. Paul took his photo with a Canon G7X camera in March 2016 in Cuba.
Six Finalists
The 2016 ITTN+EMIRATES Travel Photographer of the Year competition, which is now closed, ran over five months from June to October 2016 and received 290 entries from 65 people. All the entries can be viewed at: ittn.ie/travel-photographer-of-the-year-competition-entries/
The five monthly winners were Katarina Trnikova, J Barter Travel Group; Tim Carey, The Travel Boutique; Enda Larkin, Sunway; Bettina Haltmayer, ClickandGo.com; and Niamh Quinlan, Travel Counsellors. In addition, the wild card finalist was chosen from all 290 entries submitted by a panel of judges comprising Enda Corneille, Country Manager Ireland, Emirates; professional photographer Paul Sherwood; and Michael Flood, ITTN Editor.
All six finalists receive a voucher for €200, a trophy and an invitation to be a guest Emirates at the 25th Silver Jubilee Irish Travel Trade Awards, which will be held at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road (formerly the DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin – Burlington Road) on Friday 25th November 2016, when the overall winner will be announced and presented with tickets for two from Dublin to any destination on Emirates’ extensive worldwide network of over 150 destinations.
