The magnificent setting of the K Club in Straffan, Co Kildare, was the venue for the TIGS President Peter O’Hanlon’s Prize outing – and the championship course brought out the best from the 65 golfers, with outstanding scores in particular from winners Paul Dawson (44 points) and Emer Farrell (34 points).
TIGS President Peter O’Hanlon was his usual witty and exuberant self and ensured that his President’s Day was a most enjoyable event.
He and TIGS Captain Martin Skelly thanked sponsors Etihad Airways, who have been involved with TIGS for eight years, for their sponsorship over the years. In response, Beatrice Cosgrove, General Manager Ireland, Etihad Airways, assured TIGS of sponsorship planned well into the future.
The Etihad Airways team of Valerie Murphy, Karen Maloney, Shannon O’Dowd and Lynda Dougall were prominent on the night.
