PATA Brings its Travel Agent Roadshows to Ireland

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is bringing its popular Travel Agent Roadshow to Ireland next month.

The member association – which connects tour operators and travel agents to suppliers in the Far East and Southeast Asia – will be meeting agents across Ireland and the UK during November.

The Irish dates are as follows: Dublin PATA Roadshow, November 29; Belfast PATA Roadshow, November 30.

PATA UK & Ireland has also announced a bumper training programme for travel agents – in partnership with Travel Uni – adding even more training events for travel agents this winter, including a new online format.

Kicking off next week, from October 31, the training calendar starts with a new concept, Virtual Vacations, a series of 3 online virtual fam trips that will take agents on a narrated online tour of a variety of hotels such as Dusit Thani Singapore, Outrigger Thailand, Alila Maldives and attractions and tours including Sydney Opera House and more.

Commenting on the winter training events, Betsie Barr, Marketing & Events Manager for PATA UK & Ireland said:

“We are delighted to launch a new and exciting style of training event for travel agents. Starting this month, our brand-new Virtual Vacations will take them on a journey to discover some of PATA’s hidden gems via guided video tours. These events give agents the opportunity to learn about the Pacific Asia region directly from a range of quality suppliers.”
