Ninety Years of Paradores of Spain Presented in Dublin

Paradores of Spain celebrated 90 years of service to the travel industry with an event at the Merrion Hotel, Dublin. Displaying their product in great style were Juan Jose Gonzalez Alvarez and Barbara Garcia, who gave trade and media a wonderful overview of the properties from 5-star down through various designations. The concept started in 1928 in Sierra de Gredos with the opening performed by King Alfonso X111.

The Spanish Ambassador, HE Ildefonso Castro, returning to Ireland after a placing here previously and only five weeks back in Ireland, attended the presentation.

Located in extraordinary natural settings or in the most beautiful historical and artistic surroundings, the 98 Paradores include former palaces, ancient convents, medieval castles or buildings conceived to provide a unique service along routes, in cities and towns.
