No Baggage Charges – Irish Ferries

In a tongue in cheek response to the announcement that some airlines are pushing up their summer baggage charges, Irish Ferries has reminded holidaymakers travelling by ferry that they can bring all that their car can carry, free of any charges whatsoever.

According to Dermot Merrigan, Head of Passenger Sales: “More and more families are turning to self-drive holidays by ferry due to the absence of baggage charges and restrictions.

“Other appealing factors include the speed and versatility of shorter check-in times, the reliability of service plus the flexibility and savings that come from the choice of fare options and cost-cutting deals that are available.

“Coupled with the unrivalled flexibility and freedom to tour from place to place, passengers travelling in their own car can bring all the essentials of their home away from home, including the family pet, not to mention the option of returning with room on board for those precious purchases or boot full of wine.”
