New York City Tourism + Conventions, the official destination marketing organisation and convention and visitor’s bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, has announced the opening of reservations for NYC Off-Broadway Week.

The programme runs from February 16 through March 12, offering savings on 2-for-1 tickets to 26 shows, including 16 newcomers. Tickets are available at nyctourism.com/offbroadwayweek.
“We’re thrilled to once again make Off-Broadway theatre accessible to New Yorkers and visitors this winter through NYC Off-Broadway Week,” said Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions.

“Since its launch, this programme has supported over 950 shows and sold more than 150,000 tickets, bringing the excitement of Off-Broadway to an expansive audience. Off-Broadway theatre champions New York City’s creative spirit through innovative storytelling, and this program continues to showcase its experiential and diverse performances while supporting the stages that fuel our cultural economy and keep NYC at the forefront of the global arts scene.”

Since its inception in 2009, NYC Off-Broadway Week has been presented in partnership with The Off-Broadway League.
“NYC Off-Broadway week is a tremendous opportunity for audiences to experience and celebrate the creativity that makes up the cultural foundation of New York City,” said Joey Monda, President of the Off-Broadway League. “NYC Tourism remains one of our most ardent partners to help spotlight the fantastic work that happens Off-Broadway while supporting the artists, producers, and theatres that are the heartbeat of New York’s theatre community.”
Participating Off-Broadway shows can be viewed at nyctourism.com/offbroadwayweek and sorted by filters including Neighbourhood, Genre and Audience.
This year’s NYC Off-Broadway Week programme is supported in part by promotional partners including Amtrak and Ticketmaster.
