New York City Tourism + Conventions Announces Return of ‘It’s Time for Culture’ Programme

New York City Tourism + Conventions, the official destination marketing organisation and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, has announced the return of It’s Time For CultureSM from October 8–27, 2024. 

This year’s programme, including 70 special offerings at participating organisations across all five boroughs, offers a slate of seasonal events, concerts, tours, classes and family-friendly activities. A full list of offerings and bookings are available at nyctourism.com/timeforculture

“This fall, we are excited to showcase New York City’s unparalleled culture offerings with It’s Time for Culture, a programme that brings together exceptional experiences offered by our city’s remarkable cultural institutions,” said Nancy Mammana, CMO and Interim CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions.

“Last year, over 25 million cultural visitors were drawn to New York City, reinforcing our position as a global hub of creativity and diversity. Thanks to the partnership of Bloomberg Connects, we’re pleased to offer this program to locals and visitors alike, celebrating the rich tapestry of our city’s cultural experiences that make New York City unlike any other destination in the world.” 

It’s Time for Culture is a celebration of the cultural richness of New York City, encouraging visitors and locals alike to enjoy special programming and unique events by the City’s vibrant cultural spaces across the five boroughs. Visitors can browse participating cultural organizations by filters including “borough,” “neighborhood,” and “category” at nyctourism.com/timeforculture

Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and culture app—offering digital guides to over 100 cultural organizations in New York and more than 500 around the world—is a proud partner of It’s Time for Culture. Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the app hosts dynamic audio tours and videos from renowned museums, historic sites, parks and more. With content accessible in more than 40 languages, Bloomberg Connects is available to download via the Apple Store or Google Play.

Last year, New York City welcomed 25.1 million cultural visitors—including 8.3 million international and 16.8 domestic visitors—supporting the vibrant arts and culture scene across the five boroughs.
