Celebrity Cruises has launched its newly designed UK website with new content and new features for holidaymakers and agents, making it easier for them to explore all of the possibilities that a Celebrity Cruises holiday has to offer. Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean International has ordered a third Oasis-class ship.
With an improved user experience and enhanced navigational functions, the new website allows users to browse the selection of activities available across the Celebrity Cruises fleet, from speciality restaurants and fitness classes to spa treatments.
One of the highlights is a new film giving an insight into what life is like on-board, showcasing a wide range of activities from shopping and entertainment to fitness activities and culinary master-classes. Other improvements include enhanced details on each ship and a ‘Behind the Scenes’ section in which visitors can gain insight into the crew who work across the fleet.
The new site also includes an interactive ‘Perfect Day’ section in which users can explore what their ‘perfect day’ could look like, whether they are interested in an active, indulgent, pampered or cultured day.
Jo Briody, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland, Celebrity Cruises, said: “We are thrilled to be launching Celebrity Cruises’ new website, which showcases all that Celebrity Cruises has to offer and to tempt people to try the real thing. We know that agents use our website as a sales tool and the new video content will be a great way to bring to life a Celebrity Cruises holiday.
“The diverse content provides an online showcase for our ships and we hope that these new features provide the inspiration to step on-board a Celebrity Cruises ship.”
New Oasis-class Ship for RCI
Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean International has placed an order for a third ship in the 5,400-passenger Oasis class from the STX France shipyard. The ship will be the same size as the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, and is intended for delivery in 2016.
