S!TE will be held at the Mlimani City Conference Complex in Dar Es-Salaam, Tanzania’s commercial capital, which is located along the coastline of Tanzania. The travel and trade exhibition will focus on inbound and outbound travel to Africa and have a conference element on topical tourism, sustainability, conservation and other market related issues.

This new expo has been developed by Tanzania Tourist Board in partnership with Witch and Wizard Creative (Pty) Ltd, South Africa, organisers of the INDABA in South Africa.

The Tanzania Tourist Board has asked Maria Slye, Director of The Tourist Office, to represent its interests with UK and Ireland suppliers and media.

“Tanzania is one of the leading tourism destinations in Africa,” said Maria. “Sales figures to Tanzania are continuously growing. The new Expo is expected to draw tourism and travel professionals from all over the world, including Ireland. It is a perfect opportunity to showcase Tanzania and all it has to offer.”

The plan is to make it easy for top quality buyers to attend the show and thus maximise the sales potential for their exhibitors. Foreign international buyers for S!TE (tour operators, wholesalers, packagers and travel agents and travel writers) who are qualified by the Tanzania Tourism Board will be supplied with flights, transfers, accommodation and entry to the Expo.

Buyers or travel writers wanting to attend the Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) from Ireland should contact Maria Slye at The Tourist Office for the relevant forms. [email protected].
