New Routes and World Business Class with KLM

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which has reduced fares to more than 50 European destinations from Dublin and Cork by 26% – 34%, will introduce its new cabin interior in World Business Class on 19th March. Besides revamping the interior design, Dutch designer Hella Jongerius will give an all-new look to the full-flat seat.

KLM New Business Class

KLM has chosen three new destinations for this summer: Fukuoka, Japan; Ålesund, Norway; and Manston, Kent in the UK. The flights to Teheran, Addis Ababa and Khartoum are being suspended due to disappointing commercial results.

In summer 2013, KLM plans to increase capacity by 3.3% on long-haul flights by using its fleet more efficiently by deploying newer aircraft, year-on-year. The airline also plans to increase capacity in Europe by 6.5% as the result of using more seats and efficiency rather than the addition of new aircraft.

Once KLM phases out three of its MD-11s, they will be replaced by two B777-300s and one A330.
