The German National Tourist Office has released its new ‘Campsites in Germany’ guide for 2013, with details of over 800 sites for camping and motorhomes, to suit every pocket and choice of holiday.
Campsites in Germany are run to an extremely high standard and offer outstanding value for money; sites are graded according to budget – from basic (1-star) to exclusive (5-stars) – and an extra benefit is that driving in Germany is toll-free. Camping in Germany provides the opportunity to plan a holiday to suit all requirements and all ages thanks to the freedom and flexibility that camping or travelling in a motorhome can offer.
Onsite facilities in the new guide are clearly marked and include anything from shops and restaurants, to sports facilities (e.g. swimming, water skiing, horse riding and gyms), which sites are pet friendly, which provide children’s activity areas and organised events in high season, for all ages. Access and disabled facilities are also clearly marked, as are TV and Internet availability.
Where to Go?
There are 16 Federal States in Germany and locations are mainly in the countryside. There are sites that take you deep into the heart of a German forest, places where you can enjoy the sea air and sunshine of coastal sites, grounds where you can pitch up beside lakes and mountains with a castle or two thrown in, or where there is a large cosmopolitan city within an hour’s reach.
The handy new Camping guide is free to order by post or to download now as an e-brochure from www.germany.travel/webshop-uk.
