MSC Cruises and MSC Cruise Management UK (CMUK), in partnership with The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) charity, hosted a special day aboard MSC Virtuosa in Southampton for three Muscle Dream beneficiaries living with muscular dystrophy, and their families.

The children became ‘Masters of the Seas,’ enjoying exclusive meet-and-greets with Captain Pietro Maresca and Staff Captain Raffaele Ruggiero, a private Bridge tour, and the thrilling chance to sound the ship’s horn. The ship’s fire crew impressed everyone with their firefighting demonstrations, and the Muscle Dream guests wowed all on aboard with their fantastic Muscle Warriors rallying-cry.

Roberto Blanda, Vice President of HR at MSC Cruise Management (UK) Limited, said: “It was an honour to welcome these families on board. Seeing their smiles as they explored the ship and connected with our crew was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.”
The families also visited the MSC Foundation Corner to learn more about its impactful work, before enjoying tailored dining and themed treats. They then got to break their own records with a series of Guinness World Records challenges led by the Youth Staff.
Michael McGrath MBE DL, founder and CEO of the Muscle Help Foundation charity, said: “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to MSC Cruises for making this totally exclusive VIP Muscle Dream programme on board MSC Virtuosa so completely memorable.”
