MSC Cruises has, reportedly, made its casino areas onboard its MSC Virtuosa and MSC Euribia ships no-smoking zones; banning smoking from both.
The update has been widely reported and seems to have originated on passenger social media posts – which suggested the ban came into force during February.
MSC’s new ship – Utopia of the Seas – which debuts this summer is also likely to ban smoking in its casino area. Already, rivals such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival’s luxury line Holland America Line have introduced smoking free casinos; as well as MSC on some of its other ships.
