The sun was shining as the magnificent new addition to the Celebrity fleet, the 126,000 ton Celebrity Reflection, slipped her moorings from the Port of Eemshaven and sailed on her pre- inaugural sailing to Amsterdam. Onboard were more than 2,500 travel trade and media, who were there to celebrate the launch of the fifth of the five-ship Solstice class.
The new ship has 1,523 staterooms, which offer 15% more space than on other Celebrity ships, giving 3,030 passengers based on double occupancy, while the crew total is 1,255.
There are balconies on 85% of all staterooms and there are also 30 wheelchair accessible staterooms available.
On-board Celebrity Reflection the enhanced AquaSpa by Elemis allows guests to create their own circuit of sensory experiences as they move from room to room and experience hot and cold, wet and dry, and peace and tranquility.
- Winter 2012 and 2013
- The new 3,030-guest Celebrity Reflection makes its first appearance in Europe sailing on its nine-night inaugural European cruise and two itineraries in the Mediterranean during October and November 2012. The fifth Solstice Class ship will make its US début in Miami, Florida, and offer seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises.
- Summer 2013
- During Celebrity Reflection’s first full Europe season, the ship invites guests to sail 10- and 11-night Eastern Mediterranean cruises roundtrip Rome (Civitavecchia). However it is rumoured that Celebrity is considering seven-night cruises, in response to industry demands.
