Maverick Helicopters Earns Highest Safety Accolade in the US

Maverick Helicopters has once again earned the highest safety accolade in the US, marking its 15th consecutive win.

The helicopter tour operator has received the FAA’s prestigious Diamond Award of Excellence, one of the industry’s top honours for aviation maintenance technicians. The latest recognition also represents Maverick’s 15th straight Diamond Award in Nevada and Arizona, its 11th in Hawaii, and a third-year award for its operation in California.

Awarded only to operators who meet the FAA’s most exacting standards, the Diamond Award reinforces Maverick’s standing as a leader in aviation, consistently exceeding benchmarks for safety, performance and professionalism. Over the past year alone, Maverick’s technicians have logged around 650 hours of training.

Tim Hoffman, Director of Maintenance at Maverick Helicopters, said: “We take immense pride in our commitment to safety and maintenance… these honours underscore that dedication, and we are grateful for the industry’s recognition of our maintenance team’s outstanding work.”

Duncan McCubbin, Senior Trade Account Manager, added: “Maverick continues to demonstrate excellence in safety and outstanding engineering expertise. TTM is proud to represent Maverick in the UK market, working closely with both trade and media alongside Maverick’s representatives. Maverick’s 15th consecutive FAA Award of Excellence is a clear testament to why they remain the best at what they do.”

The FAA’s Award of Excellence recognises operators who participate in the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards Programme, which promotes continuous training in aircraft maintenance, regulations and FAA rules. Participating organisations can receive honours ranging from the Gold Award to the Diamond Award, with the Diamond reserved for those that meet the programme’s highest criteria.
