Marriott to Ramp Up European Hotel Expansion

Marriott International is looking to ramp up its European hotel expansion – with nearly half of the 100 property/12,000+ growth set to happen by the end of 2026.

The company plans to complete 40% of its planned overall expansion by the end of 2026. The expansion will mainly include converting existing buildings into hotels, rather than new build projects.

Marriott currently has more than 800 properties in Europe – across 25 brands, 150,000 rooms and 47 countries.

A large part of its latest expansion will be focused on the UK and Turkey markets.
