Marriott Hotels Signs Deal with German Golf Association

Marriott Hotels & Resorts has signed a three-year strategic partnership with the German Golf Association (DGV), the umbrella organisation representing over 800 golf clubs in Germany. The partnership, effective from 1st January 2013, makes Marriott Hotels & resorts one of four main sponsors of the DGV and the official hotel partner.

The partnership with the DGV will build on Marriott Hotels & Resorts experience as a hospitality leader and open up opportunities for guests and golfers throughout Germany.  Activated across a number of platforms, the alliance will affiliate Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Germany with local golf clubs and offer unique experiences and special booking conditions for guests and golfers of the DGV.

Osama Hirzalla, Vice President Brand Marketing and eCommerce for Marriott International in Europe, said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with the German Golf Association on this exciting new partnership. It is a great opportunity to expose our brand to a wider audience and share our passion for excellence with our guests and golfers of the DGV. We look forward to working with the DGV to bring new, exciting opportunities and brilliantly hosted experiences to Marriott Hotels & Resorts guests and golfers throughout Germany.”

Hans Joachim Nothelfer, President of the DGV added: “We are very proud and happy that we have found with Marriott Hotels & Resorts a partner who strongly supports German golfing and who will contribute to the attraction of golfing in Germany and beyond boundaries.”

Marriott Hotels & Resorts, the signature brand of Marriott International, currently operates nine hotels in Germany.
