Malaysia Airlines has appointed Shane Nolan as Interim Commercial Director and Al-Ishsal Ishak as Senior Vice President for Marketing & Promotions. These follow the appointments last month of Dr Hugh Dunleavy as Executive Vice President, Network, Alliance, Strategy & Planning, and Shihaj Kutty as Senior Vice President, Revenue Management.
Shane Nolan will be with Malaysia Airlines for 12 weeks undertaking the assigned role as Commercial Director while allowing management to continue the process of identifying a permanent individual for this position. He has worked in the aviation business for over 30 years and has extensive experience in marketing, sales, project management, budgeting and cost management, change management, training and customer service.
Al–Ishsal Ishak joins Malaysia Airlines with vast experience in information technology, brand building and customer relationship management. Among the various related positions he held earlier were chief executive of Enabling Asia, chief executive of Baraka Telecom, and chief digital officer of McCann Worldgroup.
