“Our long-haul programme is expanding rapidly,” said David Weatherson, Long-haul Product and Purchasing Manager. “We have just introduced a number of new areas including Australia and these have performed very well in the first few weeks of being on sale.”

The group is also planning expansion in Russia, China and South America and to have destinations in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Columbia rolled out before World Travel Market in early November.

“We will then expand our reach in Africa, increasing on existing destinations such as Kenya, Gambia and South Africa and adding Namibia, Botswana and possibly Gorilla treks in the Congo,” added Group Sales Director Paul Riches.

Lowcostbeds reports a year-on-year increase in long-haul bookings of over 150% since the launch of its long-haul portfolio.
