The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board were in Dublin to brief the trade and media on the new direct service from Dublin to Los Angeles. The location was Dublin’s trendiest new venue, The Dean Hotel, which was well chosen as it really exudes a real Californian ambiance. Francine Sheridan gave a very informative update on this truly exciting destination and added that the visitor target is 50 million by 2020.
On 20th June 2015 Los Angeles World Airports welcomed the inaugural Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles, via Dublin. This new service will operate three times a week into LAX on a B787 Dreamliner and is the only current direct service connecting the West Coast of the USA with Ireland and Africa.
Francine Sheridan, Director – Europe and Middle East, Los Angeles Tourism, said: “We look forward to celebrating the launch of this exciting new route from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles, via Dublin.
“With so many exciting developments currently underway in LA, including continual development of LAX and the new Tom Bradley International Terminal, the overall tourism experience continues to thrive.
