London’s Heathrow Airport enjoyed its busiest ever January with a record 6.32 million passengers passing through its five terminals in the first month of 2025.

That number represented a 5% increase on the same month a year ago. It was also the 11th straight month in which the UK’s largest airport averaged more than 200,000 passengers a day.

Heathrow CEO Thomas Woldbye said: “2025 has started how we mean to go on – serving record breaking passenger numbers and delivering trade and investment across the whole of the UK.
