London City Installing High-Tech Security Scanners

London City Airport has invested in new state-of-the-art CT scanners to improve airport security.

The upgrade means travellers can leave all items in their hand luggage, without removing laptops and liquids.

It was announced as part of a partnership with Leidos.

The new CT scanners will see an even faster airport security experience for passengers.

Chief Operating Officer, Alison FitzGerald, said: “Following our one-lane trial this year, we know the new CT scanners are high performing and our passengers love them.”

“The journey through the airport in 2023 will be even slicker.”

“Thanks to the Leidos solution, it also delivers the highest security.”
