Loganair has postponed the launch of any new routes in order to prioritise improvements to its punctuality and on-time performance; both of which have attracted criticism in recent months.
Loganair’s management recently said it wants to achieve around an 85% on-time performance, or OTP, for 2024, which would be a vast improvement on the 79% rate achieved during 2023.
Loganair said the 79% on-time rate is not where the airline would like it to be, and that an improvement is the main priority of the business at present.
Loganair’s latest route announcement came just last week when the Scottish airline announced an enhanced schedule for its Donegal-Glasgow route making it a year-round – rather than seasonal – service from the summer.
Loganair is the UK’s largest regional airline and connects to Ireland through various routes from Dublin, City of Derry, Belfast and Donegal airports.
