Loganair Named UK’s Most Punctual Airline; Unveils New Senior Appointments

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, has announced several key appointments as the operator celebrates being named the UK’s most punctual airline.

Farrah Malik has joined the airline as Interim Chief Financial Officer, following the recent departure of Chris Gemmell. Mr Malik brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience from industry leaders such as easyJet and John Lewis Partnership. An expert in commercial finance and revenue management, Ms Malik will strengthen the airlines financial operations.

In addition, Simon McNamara has also joined as Head of Government & Corporate Affairs, effective 1st September 2025. Simon’s impressive career in regional aviation and public affairs, including his recent role at Heart Aerospace, will support the airlines Government relations and stakeholder engagement.

The senior appointments are confirmed at the same time as the firm’s operational performance continues to excel. Loganair was recognised as the most punctual airline in the UK for the second quarter of this year. An impressive 86% of Loganair flights depart on time, reflecting the dedication and professionalism of the team.

Furthermore, Loganair has achieved the prestigious International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. This recognition underscores their work in delivering the highest safety standards and opens new opportunities for international partnerships.
