Scottish airline Loganair is set to adopt Avios as the currency for its Clan Loganair loyalty programme.
The partnership with Avios will come into being this year and makes Loganair the 7th airline to join the global Avios network which includes Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, Finnair and Qatar Airways.
Loganair is the largest regional carrier in the UK and links to Ireland through Dublin, Donegal, City of Derry, and Belfast (City).
Loganair currently serves more than 1.5 million passengers per year across nearly 70 routes. The airline’s integration to the Avios network will significantly enhance customer benefits, further reinforcing its already strong partnership with airlines.
The transition to Avios – which will be automatic for existing Clan Loganair members – will bring a range of rewards and opportunities for loyalty programme members. Members from both Clan Loganair and the British Airways Executive Club will now be able to combine their Avios balances and redeem Avios on their respective networks.
Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said: “We strive to offer our customers added value at every stage of their journey, and partnering with IAG Loyalty to adopt Avios as the currency of our Clan programme is a significant development that will open up a world of new benefits for our customers.
“We’re excited to bring these changes to life in 2025 and look forward to welcoming both Clan and Avios members onboard.”
With Loganair joining the Avios network, customers will enjoy seamless earning and redemption opportunities across a growing portfolio of global airlines and destinations.
Veronica Vicars, Chief Growth Officer at IAG Loyalty, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Loganair as the newest member of our Avios family, marking a significant milestone as our seventh airline partner. With Loganair’s addition, we’re now able to offer customers even greater opportunities to earn and redeem Avios across their important domestic network in the UK and beyond, providing greater choice and value. This is yet another step towards achieving our ambition to make Avios the most flexible and widely accepted travel loyalty currency globally.”
