Air Transat has appointed Lesley Kane as Director of Sales, UK & Ireland.
Lesley joins the airline from Ryanair after 18 years where she performed many senior roles covering B2B sales, corporate sales, marketing and customer management. Most recently, she was the carrier’s Head of Corporate Travel & Groups, and previously Head of Sales & Marketing, Europe.
Her appointment comes as part of a strengthening of Air Transat’s UK & Ireland team as the airline increases its choice and frequency of services. For summer 2015 there will be a new service from Gatwick to St John’s, Newfoundland, and an increased number of flights from Gatwick to Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Lesley will report directly to Kathryn Munro, General Manager UK & Ireland, and Managing Director of its sister company, Canadian Affair.
Kathryn said: “Lesley’s extensive experience of airline sales, marketing and customer management makes her an excellent fit for our team. The months and years ahead are important ones as Air Transat grows its position in the UK and Ireland through a mix of new services, increased frequencies and larger aircraft, and Lesley will play a key role in that evolution.”
