Asia’s leading destination management company (DMC), DTH Travel, has launched 25+ new tours across 13 destinations for 2026, providing travel agents with an expanded portfolio of experiential, community-based, and high-value itineraries designed to help them sell Asia beyond the classic routes.
With travel trends like ‘Trust over Choice’, ‘Roads over Runways’, and ‘Hidden Gems’ shaping consumer behaviour this year, DTH Travel, a specialist in organised tours, stands out and delivers exactly what agents customers are seeking.

The new small group tours feature routes through lesser-known regions, fresh perspectives on established destinations, and experiences centred on meaningful encounters, immersion, and authenticity – equipping agents with distinctive, story-driven products that respond to evolving traveller demands.
DTH Travel’s new tours are united with a clear philosophy: less ‘box ticking’, smaller carbon footprint and more meaningful immersion. They take travellers away from the tourist hotspots to lesser known regions and have built in more overland travel, whether by road, river or rail, that becomes part of the adventure.

“Our core strength lies in product development. We open up new regions and create fresh approaches within well-known destinations – always with the objective that our partners can turn these into commercially viable, easy-to-implement programmes. Our goal is to consistently deliver new products that allow guests to experience Asia authentically and from ever-evolving perspectives,” said Stephan Roemer, Managing Director of DTH Travel.
DTH Travel Malaysia GM Renee Osman said: “Every journey is born from personal experience. For example, my family day out clam-hunting with my children in Kota Belud inspired two immersive Sabah experiences. It’s this hands-on insight that turns our team’s personal authentic moments into truly innovative products for our partners.”

NEW Tours for 2026 – Three Familiar Destinations from a New Perspective:
Thailand – ‘The Soul of Kanchanaburi’ places western Thailand in the spotlight – a region that offers far more than the famous ‘Bridge on the River Kwai.’ The itinerary includes visits to Mueang Sing Historical Park with its 13th-century Khmer relics, as well as selected temples that illustrate the area’s cultural influences. A deliberate contrast follows with the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, documenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway.
A highlight is the train journey across the spectacular WampoViaduct, clinging to steep cliffs above the river and offering dramatic views. The programme is complemented by everyday experiences: exploring local markets and temples by e-scooter, ferry crossings over the River Kwai, and interactions with locals. Stops at cafés and street food stalls provide insight into contemporary local life beyond traditional tourist routes.
Malaysia (Sabah) – Community Journeys in Kiulu & Taburan sees DTH expanding its community tourism portfolio in Malaysia. The journeys lead to the highlands of Kiulu and the coast of Taburan, focusing on active guest participation. The experiences were developed jointly with the local communities; revenue remains largely within the villages, and activities are built around authenticity rather than staged performances.
In Kiulu, travellers experience daily life within the Dusun community – from farming activities such as planting, harvesting, or rubber tapping to traditional cooking and handicrafts. In Taburan, the focus shifts to coastal ecology, mangrove exploration, clam gathering, and craft workshops.
China – The exclusive Journey to Inner Mongolia programme connects the vast grasslands of the steppe with the desert landscapes around Ordos, offering a strong contrast to China’s well-known metropolitan icons. The itinerary includes overnight stays in traditional gers, encounters with herder families, insights into horse culture, and regional cuisine shaped by nomadic traditions. Guests take part in daily activities, learn about local life and craftsmanship, and explore the landscape at a slower pace – whether on guided horseback rides or excursions through the steppe and the ‘singing dunes.’
DTH’s 2026 new tour collection spans mountains, islands, railways, communities, wildlife sanctuaries and cities. They offer agents more ways to sell beyond the classic circuits and appeal to repeat and experience-driven travellers who are planning trips to Asia in 2026 and beyond.
