KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched its interactive cyber greetings card campaign, Giggle Jiggle, in Ireland. Available to create now at www.theklmgigglejiggle.eu, Giggle Jiggle will run as a viral campaign for six weeks, ending on 8th August 2011.
KLM’s Giggle Jiggle cards consist of three different animated dancing characters from around the world, on to which visitors can upload a snapshot of themselves to send on to family and friends. Participants who make the cards and complete the caption will be entered into a competition to win a pair of long-haul tickets to anywhere on the KLM network.
The characters include a line-dancing American cowboy, a Bruce Lee-style Chinese kung fu fighter, and a cart-wheeling African explorer. The cards reflect the areas of the world in which KLM has a particularly strong route network.
The launch of the cyber cards will be supported by an online and social media campaign across Ireland, including KLM’s new Irish Facebook fan page and advertising through Facebook and Yahoo.
Verane Brissaud, Marketing Manager, Air France KLM UK & Ireland, said: “We were delighted with the success of the Giggle Jiggle in the UK and wanted to expand its reach to the Irish market. The Irish are known for their sense of humour so we strongly believe this playful and engaging campaign will hit just the right note. Our aim for KLM is to build on the strong presence we already have in Ireland and we think our Giggle Jiggle greetings cards will do just the trick.”
