Kerry Airport Counts 2025 as Busiest Year Ever with Dublin and UK Routes Driving Record Growth

More than 440,000 passengers travelled through Kerry Airport in 2025, the highest number in the airport’s history.

The actual number peaked at 440,367 for the year, marking an increase of 22,958, or 5.5%, on the total for 2024 and shattering the previous record total for a year of 423,000 back in 2008.

Kerry Airport chief financial officer, Basil Sheerin, said: “We are proud to announce record passenger figures after our busiest ever year at Kerry Airport. All routes performed well, the UK and Dublin in particular. It’s an ideal springboard as we look forward to another year of growth in 2026.”

Some 221,814 people travelled on flights between Kerry and the three UK destination airports – Manchester, London Luton and London Stansted – representing a 7.4% jump from the previous year.

The domestic route linking Kerry to Dublin was another huge success story in 2025, with 122,506 passengers availing of the Ryanair twice-daily return service, showing 7% growth on the 2024 numbers.

The sun destinations in Spain and Portugal, with Ryanair, were marginally up, while the additional French destinations with Chalair from Junen to September were popular.

The German route to Frankfurt-Hahn continues its popularity, bringing over 30,000 passengers to the region in 2025.

Kerry Airport’s 2026 Spring/Summer schedule has been launched offering increased frequency on routes to Spain, Portugal and the UK with Ryanair, while Chalair will serve Brive as a summer destination in France once again.
