Japanese Airline ANA sees International Passenger Revenue Surpass Domestic for First Time

Japanese airline ANA (All Nippon Airlines) has said that international passenger revenue surpassed domestic passenger revenue for the first time in its 72-year history last year.

The airline generated operating profit of Y207.9bn last year, with its operating profit margin exceeding 10% for the first time. Operating revenue came in at just over Y2tn.

ANA is targeting more than Y200bn in operating profit again, this year.

“We are grateful for our team’s relentless dedication to delivering the highest levels of the customer experience and the trust our passengers place in us, that helped drive our financial achievements,” said Kimihiro Nakahori, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer. “These results illustrate all of the efforts undertaken over the last few years and now part of our mid-year strategy to position ANA Group for future growth.”
