JacTravel, the UK-based travel wholesaler, best known for its extensive range of accommodation online and inbound travel services, has recruited Sarah Lindsay to open a new office in Ireland at 16A/B Bond House, Merchants Quay, Dublin 8.
Sarah joins from DG Ventures where she held the role of General Manager, and prior to this in Custom Ireland where she was responsible for project and event management.
In her new role as Ireland Manager, Sarah Lindsay will head up the group contracting and operational functions based in Ireland, managing existing relationships with hotels, restaurants and visitor attractions and signing new contracts with key travel providers with a view to increasing the breadth and depth of JacTravel’s group partnerships in Ireland. In addition Sarah will ensure the smooth operation of group tours around Ireland.
Andrew Guthrie, JacTravel’s Director of Contracting & Customer Delivery for the Groups division said: “I am delighted that Sarah Lindsay has decided to join us. She is well-connected and established within the Irish industry and I have every confidence that with Sarah on board our group business in Ireland will continue to grow at a very rapid pace.”
JacTravel currently holds a portfolio of 200 FIT contracts in Ireland with a range of 2-star to 5-star properties generating a turnover in excess of £3.5 million in 2014. Well established contractors Julia Roberts and Julia Rigby will continue to contract for FIT in Ireland while Sarah will focus on group contracting as part of the team led by Caroline Maddox, Head of Contracting – Groups.
