ITTN Industry Achievement Award

This special award honours the innovation and contribution to the Irish travel industry made by an individual, and was won last year by Tanya Airey, Managing Director, Sunway, and in 2014 by John Cassidy and John Spollen, Directors, Cassidy Travel.

Following her being presented with the 2015 Award, Tanya Airey said: “I am blown away now because I was not expecting this at all. I am completely shocked and I don’t know what to say – and there are very few times when that is the case! All I will say is that Sunway is all about the people and we have the most amazing team.”

So who will be the winner of the 2016 ITTN Industry Achievement Award? Each sponsor of the 25th Silver Jubilee Irish Travel Trade Awards will be invited to nominate their candidate for the award and to provide a brief statement on his or her achievements. ITTN’s editors will also make nominations.

The resulting shortlist of candidates will then be sent to each nominator, who will each send their first, second and third nominations directly to Stephen Murray of international accountants and consultants Grant Thornton.

Grant Thornton will then allocate three points to first nominations, two points to second nominations, and one point to third nominations, with the candidate who receives the most points being declared the award winner at the Irish Travel Trade Awards Gala Dinner on Friday 25th November 2016.
