This year’s overall winner of the ITTN Budding Travel Writer of the Year Award will receive a cheque for €1,000 at the Irish Travel Trade Awards.
Irish Travel Trade News has launched its 2014 Budding Travel Writer of the Year competition. If you work for a travel agency or tour operator in Ireland (RoI or NI) and have been on an ex-Ireland fam trip or travel trade prize trip since 1st January 2013 – or will be on one before 31st October 2014 – your 500-1,000 word report could win you a cheque for €1,000.
All you have to do to enter is to send your 500 – 1,000 words to [email protected] .
This year there will be seven monthly winners, from May to November inclusive. Each monthly winner will receive a prize of a €100 One4all gift voucher and will be invited as a guest to the 23rd Irish Travel Trade Awards – the Irish travel industry’s ‘Oscars’ – to be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin – Burlington Road, on Friday 28th November 2014, from 7.30pm until late.
In November, all seven winning reports will be re-assessed and the overall 2014 Budding Travel Writer of the Year will be announced, and the award and cheque presented, on the awards night.
Last year’s winner was Stella Grant of O’Hanrahan Travel in Monaghan with her report on the fam trip to Istanbul and on MSC Divina from Istanbul via Dubrovnik to Venice in October 2013 hosted by MSC Cruises, Turkish Airlines and TravelCube.
