What’s New with Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic Announces New Routes, Product Enhancements & Team Update for the Irish Travel Trade
Virgin Atlantic is delighted to share exciting updates with its valued Irish travel trade partners, as they continue to invest in our global network, onboard experience, and our support for the Irish market.
From 2026, Irish customers can connect seamlessly via London Heathrow to new routes: Seoul, South Korea, and Phuket, Thailand — expanding customer choice across two high-demand leisure and cultural destinations in Asia. These new routes reflect their commitment to offering broader opportunities for our trade partners and delivering the destinations customers are seeking.
Alongside this network growth, Virgin Atlantic is enhancing its fleet and onboard product, featuring upgraded cabins and even larger Premium cabins designed for added comfort. Over the next three years, they will introduce 10 brand new Airbus A330neo aircraft, along with beautifully refreshed Boeing 787-9 aircraft with modern interiors and expanded premium space to meet growing demand.
They are also pleased to continue leading in onboard innovation, with the introduction of free, fast Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, from Q3 2026, enabling a more connected experience across the fleet.

As part of Virgin Atlantic’s ongoing commitment to the Irish trade, they’re excited to share an important team update. Welcome to Max von der Hagen, who joins the Virgin Atlantic commercial team with a wealth of experience from IAG. While Max will not be customer-facing, he will play a key internal role supporting the Irish market and working closely with Celene Duffy, Key Account Manager for Ireland.
They would also like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank John Price, who has done incredible work supporting the Irish travel trade over the years. John is not leaving Virgin Atlantic — he is moving on to new projects within the business — and they extend their warmest thanks for his dedication, passion, and contribution to the Ireland market. He will be missed greatly.
Virgin Atlantic looks forward to continuing our partnerships with the Irish travel trade as we grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional service both in the skies and behind the scenes.
