Irish tour operators are seeing a positive trend in outbound holiday bookings for this coming summer holiday season, according to the Irish Tour Operators Federation. “Our advance bookings are very encouraging, and once again confirm that Irish holidaymakers regard the bonded holiday package as very good value and providing security and peace of mind in these difficult economic times,” said Philip Airey, ITOF President.
“The traditional package holiday, which has been well vetted to a wide range of overseas destinations, is still the choice of most customers, who also realise that, unlike other options, they can secure their holiday booking with a small initial deposit.”
ITOF members account for over 90% of all outbound packaged holidays, and represent the major tour operators in Ireland: American Holidays, Crystal Holidays, Falcon/JWT Holidays, Sunway Holidays, Thomson Holidays, Thomas Cook Holidays and Topflight.
