The Irish Travel Agents Association has announced that its annual conference will take place on board the newest addition to Royal Caribbean International’s fleet, the Quantum of the Seas. The conference will take place during the ship’s maiden voyage departing Southampton, England, on 31st October 2014 for two nights at sea.
Martin Skelly, ITAA President, said: “It is with great pleasure that the Irish Travel Agents Association has accepted a wonderful invitation from Royal Caribbean International to host the ITAA 2014 conference onboard the newest ship, Quantum of the Seas. We look forward to enjoying an unforgettable weekend onboard the most innovative cruise ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet. Our members work tirelessly day to day booking dream holidays for other people, so this special voyage will be a well deserved treat.”
Quantum of the Seas has a number of revolutionary new activities and facilities, never before seen on a cruise ship. These include North Star (a glass capsule on a mechanical arm that rises high above the ship for a bird’s-eye view), iFly (a skydiving simulator), and Seaplex (the largest sports and entertainment complex at sea including bumper cars and a roller disco).
Guests aboard the ship will also get to sample amazing culinary concepts with the Royal Caribbean now teaming up with celebrity chefs such as Jamie Oliver, who has opened a ‘Jamie’s Italian’ restaurant onboard.
