ITAA Conference Delegates Ready for ‘Jewel of the Mediterranean’

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) Annual Conference is taking place later this month in the Jewel of the Mediterranean – Almería, Spain.

Delegates will be on-site from the 17th to 20th of October 2024 with a number of delegates arriving a day early on Wednesday 16th for a day’s golf, a golf clinic or simply to relax in advance of the conference. The theme for this year’s conference is RISE with the ITAA based on the core principals of travel agents being Relevant Innovative Strong and Essential.

The ITAA Annual Conference provides travel industry professionals with many valuable opportunities to network and up-skill, as well as learning more about the international travel trade. There are also plenty of activities and wonderful cultural experiences for delegates to enjoy throughout the duration of their visit. Almería is located in Andalucíá, the south-eastern corner of Spain.

Clare Dunne, CEO of the ITAA said: The Annual Conference is a highlight of the travel trade calendar in Ireland, as it provides us with an opportunity to meet with our colleagues from both home and abroad, as well as discover more about the city of Almería in the popular Andalucíá region. These events are essential for allowing the important partnership between Ireland, Almería, Andalucíá and other Spanish regions to continue to grow at every level of tourism, culture and business.”

This year in Almería, delegates will stay in the 4 Star Barceló Cabo de Gata. They will have an opportunity to explore the local area visiting attractions like the Cabo de Gata natural park and the historic Alcazaba fortress. The conference is open to members of the travel trade – Travel Agents, Partners and Suppliers including Travel Trade Media.
