Irish visitor arrivals to Thailand in 2013 were up over 4.5% year-on-year, with nearly 63,000 visiting the kingdom of smiles – and the Tourism Authority of Thailand is increasing its investment in the Irish market in 2014.
Commenting on the figures, Khun Teerasil Tapen, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, said: “We are delighted with another strong performance in the Irish market and we are very grateful for the continued support of the Irish travel trade.
“We plan to increase our level of investment in the Irish market in 2014. This is reflected in the Amazing Thailand Roadshow visiting Dublin on 10th March and our Friends of Thailand Club Roadshow, which will take in Belfast, Cork and Limerick from 24th – 26th June.”
