Irish Holidaymakers Urged to be Vigilant and Aware of European Strikes this Bank Holiday

Irish holidaymakers travelling abroad over the remainder of the Bank Holiday weekend have been urged to be vigilant and heed various operational shortages and strike action both at home and abroad.

The shortage of car park spaces at Dublin Airport is set to continue for the foreseeable future, with demand said to be at an all time high and all spaces currently sold out.

Overseas, there are train strikes in the UK, pilot strikes in Spain and airport baggage handler strikes in Italy.

Over the course of this June bank holiday weekend – from last Friday to Monday – approximately 220,000 people are expected to leave Ireland on holiday breaks.
