Irish Holidaymakers Lured by Architecture and Art More than Great Nightlife, Research Shows

New travel trend research has revealed that Irish holidaymakers pick destinations based on architecture and art – more so than great nightlife.

What’s more; famous cultural attractions like the Mona Lisa, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, and Florence for Michelangelo’s David state top our collective must-see lists.

The research reveals that two fifths (39%) of people in Ireland consider art and architecture to be a crucial part of their holiday itinerary.

Only 29% of respondents to a survey by cruise giant Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) said that great nightlife is a priority on a foreign holiday; versus 36% opting for art being key and 50% saying architecture is a vital ingredient.
