Irish Ferries brought a touch of Ireland to the UK coastline, for St Patrick’s Day, working with the Port of Dover to illuminate the iconic White Cliffs of Dover in vibrant green, to promote its presence on the Dover-Calais route.

The striking display started on Friday 13th March and ran through to St Patrick’s Day on 17th March, with the White Cliffs lit up to celebrate Ireland’s national day and mark Irish Ferries’ growing presence on the Dover–Calais route. Irish Ferries offers travellers a warm Irish welcome and great value fares including a three-day short break fare from Dover priced at £58 each way (for a car and up to nine passengers).

Irish Ferries’ fleet on the Dover–Calais route includes the Isle of Inishmore and Oscar Wilde – spacious, modern ships, offering comfortable lounges, onboard dining, sea views and a relaxed crossing experience.
Operating up to 20 sailings a day, Irish Ferries provides a seamless way to travel with the comfort of taking your own car, ideal for holidays across France and beyond. Pet owners can also benefit from the dedicated Pet Den, providing a secure and stress-free space for four-legged travellers.

“St Patrick’s Day is all about celebrating Irish spirit and hospitality,” said Nora Costello, Irish Ferries Consumer Marketing & Sales Director. “Turning the Cliffs green is a spectacular way to share that joy with travellers while inviting travellers to “Sea travel differently” highlighting our commitment to offering more choice, great value and more convenience and more of Ireland on the Dover–Calais route.”
Irish Ferries’ Dover–Calais service operates year-round, with competitive fares and the option to upgrade to Club Class for premium seating, complimentary food, alcoholic beverages, snacks and refreshments combined with sweeping sea views.
