Intrepid Travel Unveils Over 100 New Trip Itineraries for 2026

Responsible tourism specialist Intrepid Travel has unveiled over 100 brand-new trips for 2026, featuring immersive adventures in more than 50 countries worldwide.

The new trips sit across a variety of travel styles including Walking and Trekking, Multi-active, Cycling, Expeditions, Family, Rail and 18 to 35s, as well as new trip ranges including Premium Walking and Trekking

The latest additions include 32 new active itineraries, developed in response to rising demand for active, nature-based travel, with Intrepid seeing 14% year-on-year growth in its active trip bookings from UK customers in 2025. Highlights include rafting in Europe’s deepest canyon on the 7-day Croatia and Montenegro: Hike, Bike & Raft trip and an overnight volcano hike in Guatemala on the 9-day Central America: Hike, Bike & Kayak trip. Intrepid’s new Premium Walking and Trekking range offers higher-end active adventures in destinations including Vietnam, Jordan and Morocco

Family travel is also a key focus for Intrepid in 2026, after seeing 36% year-on-year growth in family bookings from the UK this year. Intrepid has introduced 10 new family trips, as well as a new children’s pricing policy, offering 20% off the total trip cost for travellers aged 17 and under. Other highlights include six new rail trips, and the introduction of new destinations including Sierra Leone Adventure and Explore Faroe Islands.

Highlights of the new trips for 2026 include:

New Europe trips

Discover the charm of the Faroe Islands as you explore quiet coastal villages, hike dramatic sea cliffs, visit working farms that blend tradition with innovation, and savour a home-cooked Faroese lunch at a historic family homestead. 

Follow the ancient Via Transilvanica trail through Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, passing small villages, forests and rolling hills. Visit the Tasuleasa Social NGO and learn how this organisation behind the trail project is working to promote local economies by connecting travellers to Romania’s heritage. 

New Range: Premium Walking and Trekking

Wander through the lush valleys and rice terraces of Northern Vietnam, passing limestone peaks, bamboo groves and peaceful hamlets surrounded by rice terraces. Enjoy feature stays in two of the highest-regarded eco-resorts in the country.   

Stay in a captivating riad in Marrakech before exploring the Tiziane Valley in the High Atlas Mountains and coastal Essaouira, where travellers hike along cliffs, dunes and shorelines and enjoy local picnics with a view. 

New Expeditions

Meet one of the only women village chiefs in the country and hear 

 traditional stories by a campfire in Boma Community Village, set off on a river cruise 

 down the Moa River and wander Freetown’s lively markets on this eight-day adventure 

 full of history and culture. 

Travel deep into the taiga of Mongolia and stay with the Tsataan people who herd reindeer for a living. Learn about their traditions and take in this challenging but transformative experience of being away from modern comforts.  

New Active trips

Spend 10 days in Kyrgyzstan while trekking along the western Tien Shan Mountain Range. Follow nomad’s trails, spend nights in traditional yurts and take in the views of snow-capped mountains and alpine lakes.   

Explore less-discovered Adriatic islands and rugged national parks on this active adventure. Kayak around the Elaphiti Islands, explore the mountains of Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park and enjoy a rafting adventure along the bright-blue Tara River. 

New Family trips

See playful seals, giant tortoises and pink iguanas on a journey through the Amazon and Galapagos Islands. Stay in an eco-lodge in the Amazon, kayak through the turquoise waters around Isla Isabela and join a local family for an empanada cooking class. 

Embark on a family adventure through Greece, exploring ancient sites like Delphi and Olympia before relaxing on the shores of Poros Island. Learn Greek mythology, meet rescued donkeys, enjoy a cooking class and go glamping by the Saronic Islands. 

New 18 to 35s trips

On this 18-35s adventure, travellers trek through the jungles in search of chimpanzees, spot zebras and buffalo in Lake Mburo and come face to face with rare mountain gorillas in the forests of Uganda.  

Journey through Colombia on an adventure and cycle along the waterfront promenade in Barranquilla, hike to the Marinka Waterfalls and board a traditional fisherman’s boat to visit the stilt villages of Buenavista and Nueva Venecia. 

Following a record year in 2024, Intrepid has carried its strong momentum into 2025, achieving double-digit growth across multiple trip ranges, including Multi-Active, Family and 18 to 35s trip categories.

Morocco, Vietnam, India, Cambodia and Sri Lanka are among top destinations for UK customer bookings, while growth has also been strong in regions that are typically-less touristed, including Central Asia and Northern Europe, which are up 20% and 24% wit customers respectively.
