Sani Resort, committed to promoting gender equality in the workplace and the professional empowerment of women, has partnered with the non-profit organisation Women On Top to launch the specialised training and mentoring programme “Ready for work (again) in tourism”.
The programme offers specialised training, mentoring, and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry for unemployed women, regardless of their professional or academic background.
With this collaboration, Sani Resort and Women On Top will help 30 women re-enter the workforce and pursue employment opportunities within the hospitality group.
The “Ready for Work (again) in Tourism” programme is open to women from all over Greece who have been away from the labour market for two or more years. Those interested can register until February 25. Participation is free of charge. The training workshops start in March and will be completed in three phases:
– Phase one: From 11- 15 March (10.00-15.00) – Participants will attend 10 interactive workshops led by Women On Top trainers. The workshops will focus on topics including job search strategy, resume writing, negotiation skills, achieving work-life balance, and more. Workshops will be conducted via a digital platform.
– Phase two: From 26- 29 March (10.00-12.30) – Participants will attend a second round of free training conducted by experienced professionals of the Sani/Ikos Group, focusing on topics such as hotel operations, Greek tourism market development, guest service principles, complaint management, etc. Workshops will be conducted via a digital platform, and participants will also have access to the specially designed online training platform of the Sani/Ikos Group.
– Phase three: Upon completion of the training workshops, graduates will have the opportunity to connect with women who have extensive professional experience in the tourism industry for a three-month mentoring partnership, which will equip them with valuable skills, tools and networking opportunities to re-enter the job market and build a career in hospitality.
Following the mentoring partnership, graduates can apply for employment within the leading resort, Sani Resort, having gained a unique, empowering, and networking experience. Supporting and empowering employees in line with the principles of equality and inclusion is a key business priority and part of Sani Resort’s sustainability strategy. In 2022, the percentage of women in senior management positions increased by more than 30%, while monetary spending for employee training and growth increased by almost 50%.
